HealthForce Partners Acquires Occupational Medicine Clinic and Prevention Program from Providence Everett Medical Center
Bothell, Wash. (December 31, 2002) - Locally headquartered HealthForce Partners, Inc. and Providence Everett Medical Center today announced the sale of Providence's Occupational Medicine Clinic and Prevention Services to HealthForce Partners. The acquisition will extend HealthForce Partners' business of providing workplace health services into the Snohomish County market. "HealthForce Partners is pleased to welcome the Providence Occupational Medicine and Prevention staff to our team," said Jack Siemering, HealthForce president and CEO. "The Providence Occupational Medicine Clinic is a trusted resource of the Everett community, providing outstanding service to hundreds of employers. In addition, the Providence Prevention Services has earned a national reputation as an innovator in employee health." "The single most important criteria behind the sale to HealthForce Partners is that it assures a continued high standard of service for our valued employees and customers," said Gail Larson, CEO of Providence Everett Medical Center. "Divesting our occupational medicine and prevention businesses allows us to refocus on our core patient care mission. We will, however, maintain a close relationship with HealthForce Partners to ensure that our employees have access to the variety of specialized workplace health services available from HealthForce." Following the acquisition, HealthForce Partners will employ the current Providence Occupational Medicine Clinic and Prevention Services staff and manage the practice of the occupational medicine physicians. In addition, HealthForce Partners will provide occupational medicine and prevention services to the existing Providence customer base of regional companies and the employees of Providence Everett Medical Center. These services will include the award-winning Wellness Challenge™ incentive program. HealthForce Partners' Siemering says that integration of the Providence occupational medicine and prevention programs into his organization will enhance the scope and geographic reach of HealthForce Partners' services. "Our services support effective hiring and regulatory compliance, optimize worker health and productivity, reduce the costs of injury and promote safe and timely return to work. This acquisition brings additional expertise to our workplace health offerings and an important point of service for our network of occupational medicine clinics." About HealthForce Partners
